MMNH is a unique museum that features a world-class collection of mounted animals from around the world in its permanent exhibit hall, including one of the few mounted African elephants in the United States. It is our vision to connect the community to the natural world.

Q: Where is the Museum?
A: We are located in downtown Sycamore, across from the movie theater on State Street. Our address is 425 W. State Street, Sycamore, IL 60178
Q: What is there to do at the Museum?
A: The Museum is a great place to spend an afternoon observing animals from around the world and participating in fun programs. Check out our calendar for information about upcoming events!
Q: Is there free parking?
A: YES! There are several public parking lots directly across the street from the museum.
Q: Can I take pictures?
A: Yes! We ask that you refrain from using flash. If you share your photos on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, please tag them with #MMNH.
Q: Is there a vending machine?
A: No, we do not have any food for sale at our museum. However, we are happy to point you in the direction of some of the best food in town if you need suggestions!
